Gordian III Study Lot

Obtained these 4 and still have an interest. I will have to think of some way to refine my interest. Just too many Gordos, too little time.

    Harasha, nice coins there. I have only one Gordian and like Bronzemat it is silver. These bronzes are pretty cool though because I also have not seen them. I am interested in these and also am curious to know why there are those circular indentations in these provincials from Syria and Egypt. My Ptolemy bronzes have the same indentation, sometimes just on one side, sometimes both.

    I also would like to know the reason for the punch marks. I know that they are common, but I could not find the answer online. Demonetization, maybe? Pro forma desecration of a prior emperor? I bet someone more knowledgeable in the Forum knows.
