Wow. This was an interesting eBay message I just got.

When I read the first few lines, I thought, "Oh, crap- surely this guy I sold a coin to more than two years ago isn't wanting a refund NOW?"

But no... I had already refunded his money, way back when... and now he wanted to make good, since he eventually did receive the coin.

Hats off to "leventadropos", I say. There ARE still plenty of honorable eBayers out there. image
<< <i>Dear Friend,In Spring 2013 I purchased from your auctions a 4.5 piastres coin graded by NGC as XF40. Unfortunately the coin did not arrived on time so you had kindly refunded me.About a couple of months ago the coin had been received in good condition! Actually my mail and packets were picked up and checked by my sister as I was away for a few days at that time.I do not really know if you had included any of your details within or on the packet you sent because my sister is always keeping the content and immediately recycling all the paper staff!Since when the coin was received, I could not find your details. luckily until yesterday when I was checking the content of a USB memory stick and I found out my old archive! My notes show that I paid 57euros for that coin! I checked the currency rate today and that amount corresponds to about 63USD!I will be very pleased to return this money to you so please give me your paypal account in order to send you this amount.Kind regards- leventadropos >>
For the record, the flipside of this has happened to me twice, when I was the buyer and received a "presumed lost" coin long after getting a refund for it.

In one instance, I sent the coin back to the seller. In the other, the seller told me to just donate the money to charity, which I did.

So not everybody on eBay is crooked, see?
