Red, Black, or Blue: Which would look best?

I recently picked up this Marichal RC.

It presents very well, but has a residue on the upper left corner area which will not come off. So, I plan to get it autographed at the MLB All Star Fan Fest next weekend. Which color sharpie should I have him sign with: Red, Blue, or Black? I am leaning toward Red, if it is signed across the jersey. However, I have not had a player sign a card in a very long time, so I am not sure of the protocol for asking a player to sign in a certain location. I don't want to be difficult, and am reluctant to ask.

Blue would be second choice for fear black might blend too much near sleeve.
Look forward to end result no matter the choice.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Blue forever!
ETA: I like to have a visual when making decisions such as these. Here's a sample of each color option listed + silver and gold on cards with dark backgrounds.
Red
Looking for 81-84 Topps Stickers in PSA 9 or better, 81 Topps Scratch offs, 83 Topps Fold outs in PSA 8 or better, 83 Fleer Stamps and 81/86 Fleer Star Stickers in PSA 9 or better.

Personally, I will never again have a card or ball signed in red, as in my experience, red fades more quickly than other colors.

don't use silver, where's he going to sign it? across his face? there's isn't enough room for him to sign it anywhere in silver and have it look good
he has kind of a larger autograph anyway, blue on this jersey will look great

I purchased all those cards already auto'd, but I believe this is what was used for the silver: Link
<< <i>I've seen silver ink get fuzzy on older cards due to the surface as the golf examples have a nicer surface. Of course, I've seen Sharpie do this but not as often >>
Yeah, I agree with this thinking. That's why I feel that ball point pen signatures on vintage cards is the best thing. The ball point ink won't sink in to the vintage card stock and leave that fuzzy look that markers usually do. Plus, marker signatures on vintage cards doesn't look as good, IMHO. Good point on the fuzzing or bleeding issue, too.
Don't waste that card with a sharpie, go blue ballpoint and it will be stunning.
