I used to be a serious medal collector yet sold off my collection a while back as it became a storage nightmare. However, I keep an eye on many posted here by harasha and Iosephus as the engraving and breadth of issues can keep one active for a lifetime.

This one caught my attention a while back on NEN's website as having a superb design and eye appeal to it. No other reason than that for pursuing.

The 46mm silver medal was issued by the Great Britain British Dairy Farmers Association in 1897. Description states GEO.H.LEECH BEST BANTAM which I assume is engraved in the rim along with year. NGC MS64. I assume the award for best Bantam (small poultry - BANTAM - WIKI) was awarded to Geo(rge) H. Leech.
