And, thanks to the long standing board member that just sold me Ike and Truman sets 5 minutes ago - he gave me his asking price in a PM (at more than any published buy price I see out here for the sets) and I responded essentially with "ship them".

You can trust Mitch as he will give you the highest possible price on these coins even though he does not advertise his price. He knows what everybody is offering and will not give you less than they do.
The concept of "we will match or beat anyone's advertised price or your mattress is free" is a sound way to do business I believe, as is posting a concrete buy price. One is no more "nobel" than the other with all due respect.
On the last deal, when bids hit upwards of $200/set sealed, I knew, deep down, that level would likely result in losses on the project. But, wherever I could, I tried to match the (high) price. The losses came - pretty big ones at that- heck, it's only money.
Losses came on many of the MOD sets I bought here as well earlier in the year. On any given deal, I might "score" as well. But, relationships are also built in the process - hopefully long lasting ones.
On a side note... If any board member has a "five figure" or higher group of classic or modern coins he is interested in selling, please send me a PM. I would like to discuss all the options including my "major auction" option.

Prices can change hour by hour. I have -0- interest in posting a buy price here with a caveat "prices subject to change". I prefer making deals in real time where there is -0- chance on my part that I can't honor the deal a board member expects to receive. That's why my buys here have run smooth for about 14 years (repeat 14 years) now without a single problem (other than an occasional member backing out of a done deal for whatever reason they present to me.

Mitch is correct. Prices can change quickly and I aporeciate his quick response to my message. Another satisfied customer on both Eisenhower and Kennedy sets.
Whatever your view, many of us like posted buy prices Go ahead and say "subject to change" or "please confirm" lets face it, most of these deals are fluctuating that much

I've not ever had any problems with Mitch (Wondercoin). It really only takes you, as the prospective seller, to send him a quick PM. He is always quick to respond with a fair offer. And, just this week, I sent him some sets from a couple of friends.
7/8 ... well isn't this what it is all about? Why would I run my operation on someone's else's view?
I post these buy offers and send out 100 checks instead of simply 1 to a single supplier who could have bought for me all the sets I wanted and then some (and I work 7 days a week, 75 hours a week, in the process) because I enjoy meeting fellow collectors and doing 100 deals instead of just 1. I know many reading this might think it is nuts. But, 100 small deals might lead to 2 big deals later ....
On a related note, if anyone out there has some "4 figure" or higher valued coins they would like to sell at one of the major FUN auctions, please send me a PM to discuss. I am putting together a very large consignment to FUN.

Coins101... Check sent to you the next business day as we strive to do with all shipments to us. Every now and then we need another business day or two, especially if we need to verify First Strike eligibility on older product, which we do under the cameras at PCGS.
