Nice score on the 68 Ryan and that Mays looks great as well. The centering on the Ryan rookie and Mays is hard to find. Congrats.

The constant recycling of photos throughout the 60's is one aspect that keeps that era of cards a bit more boring than they should be.

You'd think they'd have more pictures to choose from, especially of stars like Mantle or Mays.

This one is on at least 3 times if not more:

And this one was probably from the same photo shoot as the other image above, from a slightly different angle:

A slight break from the other one:

Oh well, enough of the thread jack. Congrats on some nice grades!

Awesome hit on the Ryan RC!

The '66 and '68 Mantle photos are not the same.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • How did I miss this thread? None of the cards that graded over a 7 were even mentioned, let alone shown, in the original thread. Nice try

timpatg you are the one that threw out the "picked over" statement with incomplete information. That is on you for making an unwarranted and mean spirited comment. You were wrong so just own it and move on. Maybe next time instead of being a jerk you will just forgo posting.

I could be a jerk and show you all the jerky PMs he sent me but that's more his style and not mine.
