eBay Saved Searches

Quite a few of my saved searches that were set for "newly listed" or "ending soonest" have been changed to "best match" by eBay. One of them I had to completely redo because it started listing about 30,000 auto parts. In my opinion Best Match is one of the the most useless features on Ebay. eBay just needs to leave stuff as it is.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I only have 4 different saved searches under "My Ebay" at the moment, and daily I have to switch it back to "newly listed" rather than "best match". Ever since I started saving searches on Ebay, it always remained the way I wanted it which is "newly listed" until a couple weeks ago. I actually missed out on a couple cards I needed because I didn't notice the glitch in time.

Without fail, for the last couple weeks, every morning I sign on, see that my searches were set back to "best match" without me wanting it and I have to set it back to "newly listed". Once you set it the way you want it it should stay that way. You shouldn't have to change it back everyday. Under "best match", like you stated, I've had lots of different bizarre things appear.

If you're on a computer, you can bookmark the URLs to avoid that problem.

Semi-related... I noticed when I'm doing multiple ebay searches and I have it set to sort by "Highest Price" or Ending Soonest" it seems to randomly reset to "Best Match" whenever it feels like it. Very annoying.

I do use bookmarks for my "Saved Searches" and it does keep my preferred search settings.

    Best......match.....is......terrible.

I hope I was clear on that.

If you're using the Ebay app and pick a sort method, it resets to "Best Match" every single time you change the search. It's incredibly annoying.

i was wondering the same thing in a way...what are the criteria they use to decide and graciously place certain cards that are "best" for me?

I have my browser saved with several ebay bookmarks using newly listed or ending soonest and it will randomly change my search to best match and sometimes even change the category to all categories. I am so tired of these websites and applications deciding what is best for me and know more about what I want than I do.
