I am starting to think that fedex may not be the best shipping for coins!

Correct. The best option remains USPS Registered but the risk takers and sensation seekers continue to abide.

That's why you have insurance. If I waited around for 2-3 weeks for every package, I'd be out of business and my customers would be pretty ticked with slow delivery times.

My one experience with Fedex when a coin package went missing was terrifying.

    Never, never, never again.

a serious buyer of high value items understands the need for the security of registered mail, and understands it is slow for that very reason.

I would be physically ill if that was my package. I sincerely hope they turn up for you. I'd certainly be holding FedEx responsible and expecting them to be investigating. I'd probably also maybe give the FBI a call as well. Since the package showed up with missing coins and it was done across state lines and at such a high dollar value.

Was the package empty? Or missing those coins but the rest were there?
