Suspect Duncan chrome refractor RC?

Duncan psa 10 chrome refractor 1997

Anyone else think this may be trimmed on the top?

  • Just an illusion from how it's sitting crooked in the slab.
  • Yes, I do. It is very short in the holder. Look at all this sellers other Gem Mint cards and do the math.

that is pretty short for a modern card. What is this, 1961 fleer? I wouldn't touch it.

Isn't every card measured before being slabbed? If so, how would a trimmed card make its way into a psa holder?

The seller psa.gems used to be queencitysports.
AKA Kevin Burge. Google his name or search old threads on here.

I have bought from psa.gems before and he claims his name is Keith. What is the deal with this seller? Any info would be appreciated.
  • After a quick search, it appears that psa.gems ties back to a guy by the name of Keith Koenig, Co-Owner at Cardboard Gems, LLC.

As for the Duncan card, there are more examples being sold by other Ebay sellers that look and fit in the PSA holder the same way. I don't know much about basketball, so is it possible these cards are a little smaller from the factory? I would post the pictures, but I have not figured out how to do that just yet.

I already knew it was Koenig.
    I'm outta here.

Are all of these PSA.Gems PSA 10's trimmed? Is that what we are saying here?

I guess you would have to decide it for yourself. Look at the beautiful PSA 10 Montana they are selling. It looks to have plenty of room to operate inside of that holder and also has a sweet ding in the top left corner of the card. I am sure this guy won't ever be accused of having cards that are undergraded or oversized.
