Or has it always been allowed and I just didn't realize it?
When you "Make an offer" ebay allows you to include your phone number! which leaves the door wide open for fee avoidance.

Somebody might find a deal that way.
I have bought and sold tons of coins from contacts on eBay without going through eBay.
Another reason eBay is so AWESOME ........ contacts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
always been there far as i remember.
i have every email, addy, phone etc of anyone i'd done a transaction with via ebay/paypal.
years worth. rarely do anything with em though. sometimes, i will put a # in my phone for someone i intended on doing business with again but that is about the most assertive i get with the info.
