Weekend mail - 1970 Johnny Bench

Did anyone have cooler cards over the span of his career than Bench? So many classics to choose from. I think this card presents very well for the grade.

That was the first vintage card I ever received: a present from my father. It brings back good memories. Thanks for sharing such a great specimen!

Great card and presents well for the grade with nice corners and great centering. Growing up Bench was my favorite player, and my youth was spent watching the Big Red Machine of the 70's every Saturday on the NBC game of the week. I had every Bench card except the 1970 # 660 which was more expensive than his rookie card. Finally picked up a nice one when I got older and had extra $$.

I remember that one. I didn't even throw a bid out thinking it was going to go for too much. You snagged it at a
great price IMO. It presents better than a lot of 7's.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

BaltimoreYankee, That is a great looking card. The centering both top to bottom and left to right is about as good as it gets for that card. I'm a huge Bench fan and would certainly agree with you on the array of cool cards that he has over his career. That is a very nice score. Congrats.
