1985 Topps Hockey wax pack Mario Lemieux RC back FS

Been pulling Lemieux rookies for 25 years and have only seen a few on the back of the pack. Barely opened this one and saw Mario's card and stopped. Tight seals all around and clean pack for sale. $219.99 buys it. Ships insured and well packed as well in the price.imageimage

    I would imagine that is a tough pack to find but I don't it would pass BBCE or PSA as still being a sealed pack.

    After 25 years of opening these Topps packs probably 300 packs or more I know that the Lemieux RC either comes in the center of the pack or the back of the pack. I have seen 4 packs with his rookie on the back. I have 3 of them. I opened the other one and submitted the Lemieux Rookie to PSA. You can not see the card on the back of the Topps packs but you can see the card on the back of the OPC packs. Not sure about STEVE authenticating it but he should based on the tight seals all around with the exception of the first flap.

    Too bad the Lemieux is not face out where the wax could be taken off with a nylon.

    No way the pack will (or should) grade at PSA with that open flap, though.

    Still a cool pack for a raw collection.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
