Should I have trimmed these Autographs up Neatly before submitting?

And do you think PSA will give me a break to re-holdered trimmed neatly?

    Agree 100%

  • I personally prefer them squared up and, if possible, cut to a size which allows them to be put into standard-size holders.

I would absolutely leave them the way they are. Great items.

    I wouldn't change a thing

Neat autographs. I wouldn't sink any more $$ into them by trimming and reslabbing. I don't think it will effect potential selling price at all in either direction.

  • i'd probably trim some of them and make custom cards so they'd be aesthetically more pleasing. they may not bring more money, but i'd enjoy looking at them more if it's for my personal collection.

To answer your other question: No - I don't think PSA would give you any break on these. If you trimmed them you'd have to take them completely out of the holder. So, this would not be a re-holder but PSA would have to authenticate the item all over again. This is because a bad guy could just send any autograph back to PSA and say "Hey, I took this out to trim it could you just put it back in for me please?". A re-holder would be done in the case you have a blemish on the outside of the holder that doesn't compromise the integrity of the case.

I don't believe PSA will give a break.

If these are for your personal collection, you could have board member alifaxwa2 make some custom cut cards. His work is great.

If this doesn't interest you, I would keep them as is. You'll reach more buyers when it comes to sell. People will be looking to buy these to have custom cuts made or keep them for their originality. If you cut them, you'll lose a portion of your buyers.

    Best of luck, love these.

I agree with this thinking. The originality is what makes them so sweet.

I would have at least trimmed the frayed edges at first of the loose cuts, but now, dont bother.

I would leave them alone. What cool pieces of history, don't ruin them.
