Please keep an eye out for these cards which were "stolen" from me

The short story is that I made a trade with someone and had them delivered to this individual priority mail with delivery confirmation- which was confirmed as delivered. He claims that he sent my end of the deal but has no tracking information or mail receipt. He also claims the cards I sent to him were delivered to the wrong address and not his. Piece of work. Not from this board.

  • I am sorry to hear that. Can we know the board and name of the person so that we can avoid transactions with that individual since you are saying that your cards were stolen?

Have to know more..who is he? In what part of the country did this occur? I think I speak for others when I say that I don't want to deal with this guy. Even though it's a slim to none chance that it occurred here in my part of the country, I can check the couple LCS's that we have here..please enlighten us on the whole situation.

  • This sucks. Very sorry to hear and will keep a lookout. Of all transactions, I see trades go south far more than any other.

The individuals name is Michael Willock from Illinois . Transaction was made in a members only private facebook group which vets all the members. Needless to say he has been booted from a bunch of facebook groups for bad behaviors

This is larceny...are the police involved, or have they been contacted yet? Obviously this guy is a deadbeat and has done this repeatedly if he's been booted from many Facebook groups for similar behavior.

  • Not very promising with police or postal authorities.

I had similar event with a deadbeat out of Florida. Joe Silva (sp?) used multiple IDs and was thrown off Ebay. Resurfaced on Ebay a year later with a new ''front'' ID actually SELLING my PSA certified cards that were never paid for. Police dropped it when the guy wouldn't answer the door. So they gave up. Tough 300-400 dollar lesson.

Wow. What an epic sc*%bag. I hate the cowardice of saying, "Oh, your cards never came. And oh, I sent mine." Why not just come out and be like, "Yo, I stole your cards." Does he really think anyone would believe his sorry line of BS? Infuriating.

I hate when things like this happen, Good luck with getting them back I hope it works out. But I'm sure you know the odds are slim.
  • I will keep my eyes peeled for these cards. If I see them, I will contact you. I regret hearing you got burned by this thief.

Good luck. I would exhaust every possible legal option to get this guy arrested and/or get my cards back. He needs to be stopped.

+1 Chris - having dealt with you B4, I know you are a longtime trustworthy buyer / seller and don't deserve this kinda BS. Sucks that it happened to you. GL!
  • This same guy tried low balling the hell out of me on the psa Facebook group not long ago. After I declined his offer which was about 30% of what the average selling price was, he messaged me over and over and each time offering a dollar more. He's a piece of work. On a 400 dollar card a dollar doesn't sweeten the pot much. Good luck on getting your cards back!
