1909 Philadelphia Caramel cards found in old cookie tin

A volunteer sorting through decades worth of stuff in a historic home in New Jersey made quite a discovery.

    Wow, that is awesome. Those are the kinds of stories that keep every collector's imagination running wild. Love the fact that they were candy cards are most likely collected by a youngster. Thanks for the link.

    Awesome find! Just to think about the circumstances surrounding their placement in that tin and what happened to the boy who set them aside like that. Did he forget about them and move on? Did something happen to him? So many mysteries. It's what make stories like these so fascinating.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
