This coin is guaranteed a Chinese Forgery.
Perhaps the seller does not know and is totally unaware of it.
He has a bunch of high end coins. Unfortunately I have no Idea about the other coins. Perhaps you guys are knowledgable with some of his stuff.
Perhaps some of you do have the 69th edition of the Charlton Cataloge, issued in 2015. that exact coin is pictured on page 301.
I do not wish to bring harm to the seller if he does not know...then he is a innocent victim. BUt if some of his others are also questionable????
You guys be the judge.
here is the proof that the 1881 is a fake:

You should contact Mike Marshall - the undisputed specialist in fake Canadian coins:

    http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=200847

    I believe his e-mail address is fakecoin@live.com or fakecoins@live.com

He will take them off with one call (if they are forgeries)

    thanks,

happen to know Mikey well, very well indeed. and for many years.
hence, I am fully aware of his numismatic achievements and others which most are not aware of yet.
Also had numerous (many) discussions and exchanges with RCMP Sergeant Tony F.
Unfortunately he has been Transferred to a different location and advanced position now and is no longer able to directly support the fight of Counterfeits. He was a great help and supporter of Mikes projects.
