I know this board doesn't really do a lot in the modern space, but I couldn't help but post.

My 10 year old has started getting a little interested in collecting, we bought some 2011 Contenders blaster boxes to break, as they come with 1 guaranteed autograph per box.

I'd been told that blasters were generally no good as the top autographs are seeded much lower than in the regular product.

Well, this guy wasn't all that well known back in 2011, but now...



Pulled it tonight, this is definitely our best "hit" in our opening so far. As Texans fans and my son is a huge JJ Watt fan of course, it doesn't get much better than this!

We both jumped out of our chairs and started yelling, my wife thought something had gone wrong until she saw us giving high fives and chest bumps!

Great day with cards today - and it's really fun having another potential "collector" in the house now.

Congrats on the hit. While I don't follow the Houston teams too much, I've always heard that Watt is a pretty good guy off the field. Cool that you and your son got to share the rip and hit.
