Coin Cards: Custom Cards?

Anyone have any info on coin cards like the one below. I have never seen them before and I am wondering if they are just custom made cards with a coin in them or if there were actually a legit set? Any help is appreciated. The seller linked has quite a few on the block at the moment.

Good question. I have several Mattingly's but don't know the years they were released by Authenticated Ink. If I had to fathom a guess, I'd guess NOT authentic. PSA certainly won't slab them.

    From my experience:

    - I have seen the puzzle cards with a nickel or penny.
    - Some are in color, some b&w.
    - Some images are taken from paitings or photos.

These are the ones I own (all Mattingly):

    1961 Authenticated Ink penny
    1961 Authenticated Ink nickel
    (Have not seen the dime)

    1982 Authenticated Ink penny
(Have not seen the nickel or dime)

1984 Authenticated Ink coin puzzle card penny
    1984 Authenticated Ink penny
    1984 Authenticated Ink nickel
    (Have not seen the dime)

    1986 Authenticated Ink penny
    1986 Authenticated Ink nickel
    1986 Authenticated Ink dime

  • Hi there everyone! My name is Bruno and I came across one of these cards myself.
It's a 1951 Lincoln Wheat Penny and the card which has this coin inserted is a card from Le Gros Bill Jean Béliveau
