It has the wear/detail of an AU53 and take notice of the word "CENT"...many examples
have this word in very bad condition whereas this example is excellent, even better
than some Mint State examples.
It is an even Dark Brown.

By the PCGS POPS ALONE, this is Pop 7 with 28 finer...
but it is likely an AU53 by today's standards.
It is R-3 or R-4 as the Horned Variety.
The Horned Variety is slightly more scarce than the non-Horned Variety.

1st Coin to bear the Denomination of CENT as established by Congress
"July 6, 1785, while Jefferson was in Paris, Congress adopted his decimal monetary system with
the dollar as the standard unit. Along with the silver dollar the Congress recommended a gold coin
of five dollars; silver coins in the denominations of 50, 25, 10 and 5 cents and copper coins of 1 and
1/2 cent; (Journals of the Contiental Congress, vol. 28, Friday May 13, 1785 on pp. 351-358 and vol. 29,
Wednesday July 6, 1785 on pp. 499-500). However, it was not until 1792 that the first national decima
coins were minted. " Reference Link

There was the Stamp Act Congress of October 7-25, 1765.
First Continental Congress was September 5, 1774 - October 26, 1774.
The Second Continental Congress from May 10, 1775 - March 1, 1781.
The 1st-10th Confederation Congresses were March 1, 1781 - March 4, 1789.
The 1st United States Congress was March 4, 1789 - March 4, 1791.
We are now in the 114th Congress that began on Jan 6, 2015.

The Red Book does NOT specify which Congress established the denomination of CENT.
It would have been the 6th Confederation Congress during January 11, 1785 – November 4, 1785, New York, New York.
This is probably why the Red Book says Congress and does not specify which one.
It isn't like the 114th Congress is going to decide the denominations of our coinage.
They have merely accepted what previous congresses have established and made changes as needed.

Yes, you may use the photos for your own purposes if you purchase the coin.
