Is there a ".5 Grader of Life"? Poppage

We've all read of the mythical/legendary/real "Grader of Death". Has anyone ever had a .5 happy sub? I counted back the last 213 cards that I have submitted on four previous orders dating back two years and received 1 single .5 grade. Then I submitted five T205's recently, expecting three PSA 2's and 2 PSA 3's. This is what I received:

Order #20931654 / Submission #5543150

Line # Item # Cert # Grade Description Type
1 1 24330243 VERY GOOD+ 3.5 1911 T205 Gold Border Roger P. Bresnahan Closed Mouth Card
2 1 24330244 VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT 4 1911 T205 Gold Border Ed Walsh Card
3 1 24330245 VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT 4 1911 T205 Gold Border John J. Evers Card
4 1 24330246 VERY GOOD+ 3.5 1911 T205 Gold Border J.J. McGraw Card
5 1 24330247 GOOD+ 2.5 1911 T205 Gold Border Eddie Collins Closed Mouth Card

Obviously, I am pleased with the grades, but mostly I am surprised by the 3 half grades.

Maybe we got the same guy. I just got back a 52 BerkRoss Williams in a 3.5, and I had figured if I got the half grade it would be the lower.

In my first sub I got I think 4/15 with half grades, but since this is one of the few.

I'd say less than 5% for me get the .5

In a group sub earlier this year I subbed 11 1970 Topps baseball that I had purchased from gregmorris and got 3 8.5's.
    That's 27%.

Love the t205s. They dont get the same respect as the t206s. But great looking and so tough to find above a 6.

I have a few nice raw commons I have been meaning to submit.

post some pics when you have them.

I think his official title is "Guardian Grader".
