Need help on a Medal,,,,,,what do I have?

This Large Cent sized Medal weighs 9.1 grams and was once gold plated. From what I can tell
it has to do with the 2nd Olympics held in the summer of 1900 in France. Other than that I
don't know what it is and have not been able to find another on the web. It does appear to
have had a name on the retangular space on the date side that might end in "comb" or "oomr".
Thanks,

Okay, great lead. It was for the 1900 Worlds Fair which was held at the same time as the Olympics. It is
not an Olympic medal....Yes, that would be a city's name on the bottom...can't make it out and will not
    try to!!

Iverselle? Nope -- That's a part of the word "Universelle" split by the design.

It looks to be a lower quality knock off on the much larger medal from the 1900 "Exposition Universelle Internationale" -- More commonly known here in the USA as the 1900 Paris Exposition

You can see a picture of the "real" thing via Google Search...for "Medal 1900 Exposition Universelle Paris"

I've taken an interest in the 1893 Columbian Exposition, so this is kind of interesting as well.

I have actually had one of these. It's not an official medal from the Universal Expo, I think it was a token made for people who didn't want/couldn't afford the official medal.

They are kind of cool though, if I remember about half dollar sized.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!
