an interesting toner

not sure if i'm exactly right about this one but my thoughts surely aren't that far off
my freshly graded ms66 washington quarter

has some type of clashing on reverse below right wing but the obverse had this detailed convergence line drawn by toning
enjoy if ya do or correct me if i'm wrong about it
image

that convergent line is muted in this small trueview

Very nice coin and the toning is quite interesting. But for it to have been caused by airflow is something of a stretch. I would guess it was an aberration in the planchet.

Very nice, but I doubt air flow had anything to do with the toning since it is a chemical reaction.

I've seen similar effects over the years on WQs from coins kept in basements where their albums had water damage.
