Hi everyone. My name's Eric, and I just wanted to say hello. I've been reading these boards for a couple of years now and have learned a lot.
I'm amazed at the wealth of knowledge you guys possess and helping one another out. Seems like a very friendly community with good folks.
I mainly collect hockey. Vintage rookies and HOFers. I have complete sets in binders from 1960 to 1972 that was passed down from my dad.
My son will probably get them all (lucky him). I also like modern but only rookies. I've only been grading for the past 2 years and my eyes are so so.
My main focus right now has been collecting juniors, minors, ohl, ahl, khl, and euro rookies. I find it challenging and love cards that precedes the mainstream
rookies by a few years or their first true cards.
I do have a couple questions. While looking at the population report; if a set or brand is not listed, does it mean that they don't grade that issue or is it because
that issue has never been sent in for grading? I did a search for Czech OFS with their years and nothing. Cards produced in the Czech republic. Not sure if they're licensed but they do look cool.
Secondly, what does "no spec" mean? I've seen that sometimes from people showing their graded results.

Welcome. I don't collect hockey - there's other people here you can share with.
Sorry can't help you with questions. I'm sure someone will know; have no idea.
Don't be a stranger.
Welcome! I'm fairly new myself, but as you know from your experience reading the CU threads, this place is flat out awesome. Sorry that I can't help you whatsoever on your questions, but I'm sure that you are tapping one of the greatest repositories of experts for sports cards - period.

The wrestling guys would be a great resource for what's involved in getting things added, as many have done a lot of work in getting things added.
All the best.

I don't have any experience with the subject of your question, but I know there are helpful members of
this community who will be happy to share with you what they learned as soon as they see your post.
In case you have not done it already I suggest that you enable your ability to accept Private Messages
in your profile, as you will no doubt want to be able to exchange private messages with other members
of the forum at some point down the road.

And especially the soccer guys.
I think I can help with the questions you have. Others may join in and offer a different perspective.

If it's not in the population, it just means that no graded copies exist today. This could be due to either of the reasons you mentioned. It can either mean that nobody has ever attempted to grade the issue and therefore no graded cards exist. Or it can mean that PSA does not grade the issue, and therefore no graded copies exist.

I have some cards that are from the UK that I was able to grade that previously never had been graded. If PSA doesn't grade them today, you may need to show that these cards exist in a standard catalog before they will grade the issue. You could also just send one in as part of a group submission and see what results you get.
Secondly, what does "no spec" mean? I've seen that sometimes from people showing their graded results.
"No Spec" means "no specification" or that PSA doesn't grade the card because they don't know enough about it to determine if it is a legitimate/licensed issue.
I collect HK. Mainly HOFers that are affordable to me. So no Bobby Orr RC or Rocket or Gordie.....
Sometimes PSA just doesn't have the info. Do your research and then call them.
They may grade them after listening to you.
Often PSA goes by beckett...do they list the card?
You have picked a good modern player. Stamkos is just 25 y o and 1/2 way into the HOF
