Last time I bought one I got a warning from ebay because I had bought one a couple months before and there is some kind of restriction with these. Not sure what to think now, lol..

Can you use more than one gift card per purchase? Of I bought a $300 item, can I use 3 $100 gift cards to pay for it?

think it's 2 per account. if there's still time you can stack them. buy one at $95, wait for the code to come and use that gc to buy another. that way you turn $95 into $105.

Tim, the only thing I see in their Ts and Cs is the limit on how much you can use in a time period.

No more than a total of $500 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per eBay purchase. Unverified PayPal accounts are limited to a total of $500 in purchases of Gift Cards in any 30-day period and verified PayPal accounts are limited to $5000 in purchases of Gift Cards in any 180-day period.

I believe the limit is 2 per customer. Try to buy more than 2 without completing the purchase and you'll know for sure.

If I remember correctly, you'll receive your eBay bucks on the "back end" when you
redeem/use the gift card to make another purchase.

Back in February I bought a total of three of them using my three different ebay accounts (so one per each account); ebay shut down not one, not two (i'm quoting LeBroad James but go golden state!!) but all THREE of my ebay accounts for 14 days (which in ebay years felt like 14 years; ever had to ask friends to bid on stuff for you?!?! Talk about feeling helpless lol!!). Here's the email they sent me prior to the lockout:

Hello greedy ebayer, (no, they didn't actually call me that, I'm embellishing!!)

We are contacting you regarding a second violation of eBay?s Site Interference Policy, regarding the circumvention of buying limitations imposed on recent eBay Deals promotions.

Listings promoted on the eBay Deals have a limit on the amount of items you can purchase. Using multiple accounts to circumvent this limit is a violation of eBay policy. We have become aware of continued purchases by you using multiple accounts that exceed the quantity allowed per buyer. Please refer to the following link for more information on this policy:

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-interference.html

At this time, we are restricting your ability to buy on the site for fourteen (14) days and your orders will be cancelled. The purpose of this action is to indicate our seriousness regarding this activity as well as provide a notice that additional occurrences will result in a possible permanent suspension of your buying and selling capabilities.

Once your buying capabilities have been restored, we encourage you to continue making purchases from our eBay Deals making sure that you only use a single account.

    Thank you,

    eBay

For clarity, I should probably mention that i had abused the policy back in november too when they ran a similar promo right after thanksgiving (that was the first time I had ever bought any ebay giftcards, ever; when I saw others on the boards were successful making multiple purchases of them with no apparent repercussions I decided to join in the fun). I had no problems making the purchases so I bought as many as I could. They sent me a similar warning a few days after those purchases mentioning that the additional transactions that exceeded the legal limit would be cancelled but they never followed through with that threat and nothing ever came of it so needless to say, when the next opportunity to buy these arose in february I jumped at the chance and figured I would be safe. Boy was I wrong!!!!! Once again, they didn't cancel the two extra purchases where I saved a whopping ten bucks total but they locked my accounts for two weeks. Upon receiving the email above, I called them (ebay) and spent at least a half hour on the phone with a woman who made me feel as if I had committed murder, pleading with her to at least keep my primary account open (I didn't care if they closed the other two, just as long as I could use one of them. No such luck). I told her they should put their energy and resources into shutting down the REAL criminals on there, the thieves who sell resealed packs and counterfeit psa graded cards, not someone trying to get $100 in gift cards for $90 but she didn't want to hear anything about that because at that moment, I was the thief du jour!! She honestly made me feel like I should be on death row for my inexcusable infractions. When the 14 days in solitary confinement in eBay correctional institute in san jose finally were up, they opened the gate and I walked out of eBay jail, I once again felt like a free man and when I was able to finally place that first bid I knew at that moment how a released prisoner must feel when he once again breathes in fresh air for the first time!!!!image

Lesson learned. Needless to say, whenever these offers come up now, I buy my one on only one of (nice alliteration me!!) my accounts and leave the getaway car in the garage.

De nada, fellas. Normally I'd say just tell me that I'm awesome, but that's not really necessary since PayPal digital gifts already did that.
