Correct. I once asked John about this. He simply stated that it lends to the fact the coin hasn't been messed with and he doesn't have a problem with it.

Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Last time I dealt with Liz, it was a very negative experience. Wouldn't recommend it.

Personally, I find copper spots on gold to be a distraction. They may not represent corrosion damage, but they are still a distraction in much the same way that an otherwise nice Large Cent isn't quite as nice because it wasn't evenly-struck.

I don't collect Saints (just books about them)but I don't think a few copper spots would bother me.One of the few Morgan dollars that I own has a spot where some foreign material landed and burned into the coin when the piece,an 1880-S PCGS graded MS64,was struck.
Melting point of Au 1064ᴼ C. When mixing the metals for alloy, don't forget to turn up the heat a little more to melt the copper properly;melting point of Cu 1085ᴼ C.
If it happened at the Mint,I generally be cool with it.(unless the happening involves 1933 double-eagles)

Saints with copper spots are a no go for me. Sticker means nothing to me, I look at the coin under a glass before deciding to buy. Spotted coins set aside. In the old days this is what mail order dealers would try to stick you with......now they think a sticker will accomplish the deed lol.

Agree. I don't like copper spots on gold. I'll let the CAC dealers buy them all.
