mcdee, this has NOTHING to do with you. Stuff like this is why there's so much crap posted on CU. If you don't have anything to do with a deal, you have no right interfering (unless I'm a rip-off, which I'm not).

it is a public forum... I did not use profanity.. nor did I attack nor mention you.. if you dont like it.. dont post or join a private trading club...

and for the record I do consider it my business... because you have asked me a zillion times if I would send first and the first couple I mentioned I would not send first.. and your short memory span caused you to keep repeating the pattern.. and strangely enough, evan reports the same thing... maybe you should keep notes as to who will and wont send first to you??

Co1lector.....it's got nothing to do with whether or not you're a bad trader...it just kindof irritating on how you put it....not to mention..that yes..we've gone through this before. I'm not proposing that I'm the ultimate trader..but deciding WHO sends 1st should be done between the two people, not just assumed by you that the other person sends 1st. Also, I believe it's general knowledge that the person who is approached isn't generally made to send 1st...just how I've always done it. You just tend to turn people off by your constant.....YOU SEND FIRST ...attitude.

I'll admit, you are right about a lot of that. Also, you never claimed that you were the "ultimate" trader, but I've heard nothing against you.

The main reason why I have my rule is because I've been ripped off so many times, that I don't take any chances with traders. Then, once I started trading with "good" traders, I notice that it's easier for me just to continue to receive 1st so I know I owe someone something back. I did that with one "good" trader (sent same time), then when I received from him, I felt like I owed someone something, but couldn't figure out what or to who.

Its main purposes are because I don't trust new traders, and it ensures that traders receive from me.

As for the "YOU SEND 1ST"........I let people know ahead of time that I only deal if I receive 1st because I had several trades that were accepted by both sides, but not completed because the person wasn't willing to send 1st (so I ended up wasting his and my time).

Collector, it's one thing to be cautious but you have to admit that asking someone like Frank or Evan to send first really is a slap in the face. Thats lie taking someone with ebay feedback of 5,000 with no negs and saying "I know I won you're auction, but I've been ripped before, so therefore despite your sterling record you have to send first."

I've been through this before also. I have been on this board since the begining, not to mention I was on the OLD board. I have no bad trades, the couple of times (out of the hundreds of trades I've done) that the card(s) haven't gotten to the person, I have GLADLY replaced them. Just so that I could keep my FLAWLESS record. You can ask anybody I've traded with, they were happy with the trade(s) I have done with them. I have wanted a couple cards from co1lector, but even with my FLAWLESS trading record, he still told me "only if you send 1st". I'm not trying to bash you co1lector or anything, just saying you need to make SOME exceptions.

1st of all, auctions are different, but if I bid on an auction, I KNOW I have to send the money 1st.

I may in the future, but as of right now, I will not. I'm not sure if the Dilfer is one that you are talking about, but if it is, I understand.

I repeat, I UNDERSTAND if someone doesn't want to deal with me because of my rule.

It may come across as being a slap in the face, but that's not my intention, as you all know.

I know everyone will agree that I shouldn't ask Crum to send 1st, but I do/did. Even though he's the best trader on here, he still had no problem sending 1st. That's great that he has no problem with it, but if he did have a problem with it (like most people), I'd understand. I also understand that my rule is the reason why I don't have as many references as most people here.
