Pogue & Hayes 1801 Half Dollars Are Different Coins

The condition rarity of 1801 halves in grades above AU-55 is not news. Until recently, however, cataloguers figured that the "Thomas"-Pogue and Jimmy Hayes 1801 half dollars are the same coin. Richard Burdick and JK have successfully argued otherwise. While researching 1801 halves, I contacted Dale Friend and Jimmy Hayes. Their revelations are interesting, IMO.

Key Date Coins: 1801 Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle Half Dollars

If anyone has further information about the Hayes, Queller and/or PCGS graded MS-60 1801 halves, please post here or contact me privately.
