eBay Question

I win an auction. I wish to take a buy it now from the same seller, and combine shipping.
If I hit buy it now, I am taken directly to checkout, so that doesn't work. If I place both items in my shopping cart, and request a total from the seller, I'm told incorrectly that the seller doesn't offer combined shipping (he says in auction he does).
How the heck do I commit to the buy it now item and receive a combined invoice?

edit: and use your amex to pay for it thru paypal just in case.
I would suggest copying the item number from the North American site, then pasting it in on one of the foreign branches such as ebay.fr, ebay.it, ebay.es, ebay.de, etc. login and buy-it-now. You will still get the old option of clicking the button to confirm purchasing it without actually having to pay at that moment. After that, then go back to your usual N.A. ebay site, go to your purchased items, and click the link that says request total.

+1.....this is exactly what you need to do.

Sorry for being dense, but could you explain this in more detail? If I commit to buy it now, how do I avoid paying?
Seller can relist items so that both of you are happy, or he may be willing to give you some other kind of consideration.
Good luck!

You can commit to Buy It Now and then still wait for an invoice. Just don't pay until you receive the invoice, which you can request from the buyer once you commit.
