How to Value a PSA-10 Pop-1 1967 BB Common

I bought a really nice 1967 BB set many years ago. Advertised as mostly 60% NrMt or better. Finally got around to grading some of them--the AH was actually dead on

#474 Bobby Tolan came back PSA-10. 1st one to pop at that level. #74 Wes Stock also PSA-10. Thats a pop 2

I am putting together a PSA-8 set and am thinking of selling the 2 10s and some other low pop 9s.

Question is what do I use as a gauge to price them?

    Congrats!

Just throw them on Ebay with super high BINs, and lower the price 5-10% every month until they sell.

Search the ebay completed auctions. For example, a search for 'Topps 1967 PSA "pop 1"' brings up this...

    1967 Topps Randy Hundley PSA 10 POP 1 - sold for $599

would say about $600 based on pop 1 sales...
maybe higher depending on what the pop on 9's looks like
  • I'm not a 67 Topps BB Pop/price expert.

However, you may want to consider the series as well. Hundley example would be much like the other 1st series card. The Tolan is not.

Also look at who/how many 9's are out there of each card.

    Good luck!!!!!

What I've done in the past is examine the pop report and find some other pop 1 commons with comparable 9's graded as your Tolan and then check VCP to see if you can find some relatively recent sales of said pop 1's. The 67 set is also very popular which should help you. Then either set high BINs as was suggested or let it fly auction style. If you set as auction, try to send emails through the PSA registry to some of the top ranked sets alerting them to your Ebay listing. Great score and good luck.

    Congratulations on the pop 1's!!!!

You could also simply list them at a reasonable reserve and see what they bring.

Looking at PSA 9's will tell you nothing. 10's often go for WAY more than 9's.

    Good luck!

Another thing to consider too is the Team that they are on, Red Sox, Yankees etc. have a much heavier team following than some of the others. Team set collectors also add to the demand for certain low pop issues.
