Snow attribution question

jesbrokenjesbroken Posts: 10,671 ✭✭✭✭✭
I need some help attributing this 1908 S mintmark. The mintmark in blue(my digiblue color) appears to
me to be the S1, does it to all or am I viewing it wrong?
Thanks
Jim

It looks like S7, which has a die scratch in the upper loop of the S, the S1 is curved, being a repunched S. The MM position cannot be determined when you crop the image so tight. The position of the MM in relation to the denticles helps.

From the pics provided it looks like the S7 to me as well. Bigger pics and take away the blue would help.

Here are a couple of pics grayed somewhat to rid the blue. The blue color is a
complaint I have with the digiblue qx7. No way to change it.
    Hope this helps.
    Thank you,
    Jim

I'd vote S-7 also, but Rick's vote is the one that counts!

    S-7 using the mintmark comparisons.S-7 is more blocky 'S' than S-1.Your blue 'S' looks like 1908s S7.
