Did a search and found a great thread with about all Overton varieties pictured, getting 'bug-eyed looking at them.
This one has the Reverse rotated about 40 degrees CCW.
Opinions on grade are Welcomed.
Thank You.

I'd say it's AU. Maybe 53?
Lance.
I am curious if the Reverse rotated CCW 40 degree would add a premium.
Not my series to collect, and there are SO many varieties, thanks for the ID.. Again, I Thank You.
Here is the very informative link from 22-OCT-2006.

A premium for a rotated reverse...even as much as 40 degrees, is unlikely. But it's kinda cool nonetheless.
Few bust half nuts start out with the idea of variety or die marriage collecting. Usually you collect a few and read up on their fascinating history. So you decide a date set would be fun. Then expand to Redbook varieties and next thing you know, you have the fever.
My suggestion is you set aside this pretty coin and think nothing more about it. Or sell it and focus on something else. Don't read stories about early half dollars and their history. Just walk away.
Lance.
also, cool coin and thanks for sharing!

Often if one coin has a rotation present there are many others minted in the same manner, usually right in a row.

It is in an old ANA holder from 1990 or so, graded as EF 45.

Thank You, So, if I understand your final paragraph correctly, these can become a 'quest'?
I do not want to use a word like addiction.
And, would never sell it nor set her aside.
