1973 Topps BB Series 3 Wax Pack Rip

So I ripped a 1973 wax pack on Memorial Day and was all set to post results until I left my IPad with the pics on the plane! But due to the wonders of the Cloud, I now at least have my pics back (if not the iPad)!

I have very high hopes for the Mets team card. Really like this one.

Really like Sparky too. May be a tad O/C but still pretty sharp.

Watt is a tough one but this one has some nastiness going on in the top left.

Too bad about Willie.

Last card was an O/c Gentry. I guess there was also another card but it was unremarkable.

    Wow, nice centering on most of those. If you're interested in moving the Hunter, let me know. I need a 9 upgrade for my set.

    Gemini - I'm not sure the centering on the Hunter is strong enough for a 9.

    Mets card looks gem. Nice pack!


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    Bummer on the Stargell, but a couple nice ones in there. Mets card looks very nice.

    Got back some grades on these on one of my worst subs ever. Everything was undergraded and I know this empirically because every card I cracked out came back a grade or 2 lower. So each of these should be a grade higher. Well maybe not Sparky. But Mets team for sure

    Really was the worst sub ever. My bad mood was only alleviated by the fact that all five modern patch cards I subbed came back 10s. Didn't expect that at all. I think I'm the only one to sub these cards to PSA lol.

    This sub took a real long time by the way. Logged June 3rd. Popped today. Most of it was 1970s. My suspicion is that they were hung up on how to classify the new cards.

    Also, I am never mixing vintage and modern again.
