Not a cheapie Chinese knock-off. This is a correct, high quality copy of the 1879 Coiled Hair proof $4 "Stella", made for collectors. Ultra deep cameo black and gold.
Amazing detail, neatly but unobtrusively stamped "COPY" across the star on the reverse.
Produced by Mint American International, in custom royal blue clamshell with custom white insert cointainer capsule.
A really cool conversation piece, would make a hell of a pocket piece. But especially good as part of a "decoy" collection--one easily found by thieves and used to throw them off the track of a legit collection. They won't know what it is, but it looks really impressive!
