Thanks Nikklos! 75 Mini Rip

The Nikklos 72 rip inspired me to rip one last mini pack before sending off my sub. Glad I did . I finally found some love. Despite these...

These 3 came in succession. Wish the Yount had the centering of either of the others, but regardless, I'm thrilled with this pack. I finally got a decent mini pack!

Thanks Chris for the inspiration!

Thanks Guys. It was a fun rip. The WS card is missing some yellow, and the MVP has a rough edge, but they'll be great in my fledgling raw set. Another reminder that 75s are tough. My short history of ripping them has usually yielded 1-2 decently centered cards per pack, but then you still need to avoid all the common PDs, hope for clean edges because of the color, and no dings, touches or wrinkles...and then to really make it worthwhile one of those cards needs to be a star. All that and it's still one of my favorite rips.

Is the Yount worth a sub or just better left raw?

    Thoughts appreciated.

    Thanks

I would guess the grade on Yount to be an 8OC or a straight 6, maybe 6.5. I am fairly certain they will grade this card with the qualifier, as it is OC both L/R and T/B, unless you ask for no qualifiers. The 8OC is actually the better grade and worth about $35, as opposed to a straight 6 which is around $25. You may even have a shot at a 9OC, which may get about $75, as PSA is a bit more lenient on numerical grade when a qualifier is involved.

Thanks Tim. I was thinking 8OC but wondering if it could scrape a straight 7 if I requested NQ...or there's no way around the OC...accept it and hope for the 9OC.

Might just be best left for my raw set, but for 5.50 I think I'm gonna send it, just torn on NQ.

Jim, if it were me, I would not request no qualifiers~the value will be greater with the qualifier, particularly if it grades 9OC. I don't see this card grading a straight 7, but stranger things have happened. A straight 7 goes for about $50.

Awesome pull, Jim!!! Regardless of whether it is OC or not, it is a great pull!!! Hey, it could have been centered like some of the other cards in the pack, I guess, right?? image

    Congrats!

Wow Happy to have inspired this rip!

I would definitely sub the Yount. I've pulled 75 mini 7s much worse centered than that!

I could be wrong but isn't the Frisella tough even in lower grades?

Not tough, unfortunately~Frisella goes for about $6 in PSA 8.

L/R is not too bad on Yount for a 7, but T/B centering on Yount almost certainly garners the OC qualifier, as PSA almost always assigns the OC for cards centered low and L/R for 75 minis.
