Just took down this bad boy: 1977 Topps 630 Bert Blyleven PSA 10 - POP 2 and earned 75.00 from it.

Notoriously difficult card to get in a 10. Has only been 1 up until recently and it was residing in a Blyleven collector's collection.

I believe 4SC priced this to low.

Good idea. EBay doesn't let you buy bullion (or gift cards, rats) to accumulate eBay Bucks, but coins should work.

If you haven't gotten the promos in the past, you could try this trick....it worked for me to get most of the promotions.

A couple months I created a 2nd account to use for only buying and I use my older account for selling. It's probably against eBay policies, but it worked for me to get the promos on the new account. I was primarily concerned about having my paypal linked to 2 accounts but so far I've had no issues.

I've not been able to take advantage of either of the last two 5x, but it's not for lack of trying.

Thanks guys. I was very happy to get this box and save $100. I had the seller ship it to BBCE for Steve to check out before I get it. I am confident that it is a good box. Once I get it I'll have a run of football wax boxes from 1978 to 1989.

Well, the excitement of my first 5X eBay Bucks was short lived. It turns out that the 1979 football box I bought was actually 1980 cards in 1979 wrappers and box. Not only did I lose over $40 on the deal, I lost my $98.50 in eBay Bucks too.

No zero forgotten. The box was returned to the seller. I didn't file a claim through eBay. The seller and I agreed to a refund minus original shipping. I'm pretty sure the seller didn't know that the box had 1980 cards in it. Topps sometimes reused the 1979 football wrappers and boxes in 1980 and 1981. The way Steve at BBCE determines that they were the wrong year cards in by opening one pack and putting the pack back in the box face down. This is also how he determines what region the 1981-82 Topps basketball boxes are. When I bought this box I had the seller ship it to BBCE. The $40 loss was the original shipping cost and the cost of the one pack that Steve opened. I am not real happy about losing that money but I'm over it. I am more upset over losing the $98.50 in eBay Bucks.

You don't get money off your purchase now, rather you get a rebate of 10% towards a future purchase. So if you buy a $500 card then you get $50 in eBay bucks that you can use to pay for a future purchase. The eBay bucks accrue over 3 months and are distributed once per quarter. Luckily for you, the distribution should occur in a couple weeks so if you do make a purchase you won't have to wait long. These eBay bucks days are a nice deal for the buyers. Read the fine print though, this deal for instance is only for items $50 and above, also there is usually a cap of $100 on the eBay bucks on a single purchase so if you buy something that's $1000 you get $100 back and if you buy something $2000 it's still $100.

I've never got the 5x offer but have gotten the 4x offer very frequently. Just got it about a week ago and bought an X-Box 1 for my son. That got me $29.
If I got the 5x ID probably suck it up and buy something with it too.
Got $55 so far in this quarter. My eBay bucks don't come in until October so I still have time to get more.
I wonder if the Bucks are not released based on three months from when you signed up for the offer

Items listed in certain categories like bullion are not eligible for ebay bucks at all.

I actually did have the ebay bucks email in My Messages (first time) but that day it was right as I logged onto ebay.com, front page. I didn't grab the image of the site before activating it but it was in big letters telling me about the 5x ebay bucks.
