heads up: germany postal strike

just a heads up for those who buy/sell into germany.

"I wanted you to know that it could be that the letter to you will take a week or two longer because the german postal union is on strike since the beginning of may, at first only a couple of days but now every day. I went to a post office and they said to me that the distribution centre wont transfer the letter to international mail until the strike will end. I hope they will end the strike soon that you will get your letter very fast.

Let me know when you receive your letter, my apologize that this happens.

FWIW, I buy a fair amount from German sellers; I had an order that was shipped from Germany on May 5 arrive today, May 18. I almost always get tracking info from their registered mail system instead of just whatever their equivalent is of 1st class w/o tracking. Not sure if that affects any potential delay time or not.
