Scan is better. The front photo gets blurry along the right edge plus it looks like the flash is making the right side of his face/shoulder area appear like a surface issue on the card that is not there in the scan.

Try scanning it with the lid open and the room pitch black.
It will look great.

Hiya Terry
I'm a big fan - for "Cards" - scan.
Plus, I like sending them to photobucket where I can "Edit" them to get better color, sharpness/brightness and size.
