1952 Topps PSA 3 Mantle sells for $6,200.00???

Who in their right mind would sell this card for that amount if it is authentic? PSA 3's have been selling for almost double of that. I can't see anybody leaving 5 grand on the table. Don't know how to link but it was an Ebay transaction yesterday morning.

It actually looks like it has been reholdered. This thing probably sold in minutes.

The sellers ID shouldn't give any kind of comfort either I think the corners look artificially worn also.

I've always wondered if there ever was any leftover blank cardboard from 1952 and if the printing plates survived/or could be replicated what might happen.

That is not the newest holder from PSA. Unless you mean that the holder has been compromised??

The same seller also sold a BGS 9.5 1986 Jordan rookie for $2400 which is about $3000 less that they are currently selling for.

I wondered if someone could bleach away the print from 1956 Topps Flags of the World cards and reprint 1956 Topps Baseball images on them. Card stock all came from same sheets I believe.

And he sold another 52 Mantle PSA3 this morning for $3K and PSA10 Jordan RC for $2500.
