I would have been satisfied with either outcome, obviously he deserves the Death Penalty but had he not been given that he would have spent the rest of his life at ADX Colorado which is a living hell
No doubt this POS needs some serious suffering...but, at the age of 21 and stuck in a max prison till you die, in a 12x7 cell with one hour out a day...I would think at some point he would lose his mind. 60++ years in Colorado is a tall order.
So, if he goes the appeal route, he gets the needle in 10-15 years...we of course paying for his defense motions, etc. Truly a waste of $$$.

All things considered they're probably doing him a favor by executing him. I mean the alternatives are 50+ in the slammer and if he somehow got paroled later well, there will probably be one or more viggies (vigilantes) that won't like that too much if you get my drift. And like you said they'll just put him down like an old dog, not like he's gonna get fried, lynched or head chopped or something.
