What Percentage of Cards Printed Still Exist?

I was thinking about some vintage sets I collect from the 1950s and 1960s, but the question can apply to all years.

Any one have any data on number of cards originally printed, and what amount still exist today?

I am more interested in hard data than opinions, but all responses welcome.

I don't think there is any hard data available on cards printed in the 1950's and 1960's.

You would need a retired Topps employee to chime in.

Data is not happening on this.

The only thing I know is that 0% of my dad's early to mid 1950s cards are in circulation (thanks, grandma!) and 100% of my 1988 topps cards still exist. This information should get you a little closer to the answer.
