Topps Oddity - '91 Nolan Ryan/'90 Bo Jackson

Has anyone ever seen this? If so, or if you know anything about it, would be great to hear. This comes from a friend of mine (same guy with the uncut salesman sheets). If you were wondering, all these cards belonged to his brother who recently passed away.

I would imagine this has good value. There is a 1991 Chipper Jones rookie with a common 1990 football back that sells well. This has two superstars.

Why do I recall Bo Jackson being better than that?

He didn't play football until the baseball season was over so he never played a full season. He never really had that many attempts per game either. I imagine part of that was working him along slowly at the beginning of each season. His YPC is pretty healthy though.

A full season for him would have been about 200 carries for 1100 yards but he would have gotten many more carries had he just played football.

I have around five of these baseball/football combo cards. I dabble a little in blank backs and wrong backs but I think these are the coolest as they are 2 completely different issues. Have one with Barry Sanders on back of Moises Alou and this one graded by SGC:

In the rarest Bo Jackson thread, there's a card with a baseball front and a football back too.

I have one and have seen others where one side is a Pro Set football card and the other is a Hoops basketball card.

These are from printer's waste uncut sheets that were "recovered" from the factory dumpsters. This particular issue (91B/90F) has been on ebay fairly often since 2008 or so. There are several combinations of various 1990-1992 Topps football and baseball products that have been cut and distributed into the market. Another commonly found one is the 1992 Bowman baseball front/back with 1992 Topps football images superimposed on the fronts.

They seldom match up like this with two stars which makes this a pretty interesting example.
