Old Engelhard Bars remain very strong

I don't even consider these first 2 to be rare, but apparently someone does.

10 oz'er goes for $495

Another one 2 serial numbers away goes for $496. Same person won both bars, seems a high price to pay for 2 bars that aren't consecutive...and would've paid more having jump bids in both auctions
Maybe the winner has the middle serial number?

About right for this one. Again, the winner would've paid more having a jump bid placed, and would've if I was around at the end of the auction

Some of the prices silver bars bring on eBay are crazy. I don't care for the ones that have much of the Engelhard logo missing from the center of the bar.

On the first two bars the starting "0" makes them more desirable. Usually those bars exhibit a more complete hallmark. All told I thought they went for a bit much.

The "10 T. Oz" type is not especially uncommon and the price realized is a fair bit more than I would pay.

The tough 10 ounce examples are the ones with the Engelhard logo at the top and those lacking a serial number.
