Rookie card bubble part 2?

Seems like the only cards that are be commanding prices over Smr are pre 1980 HOF rookie cards graded 8 and above or even lower grades for pre war HOF rookies. Seems there is no ceiling for a lot of these cards and especially the big ones like mantle, mays etc are seeing new auction high prices every month. A few years ago you could pick up schmidt, rose Brock, Seaver, rookies no problem at or under Smr but now good luck with that. I hope it's true collectors buying and not investors driving the latest HOF rookie card craze or prices will come crashing down if many of the buyers are just hoping to flip. 51 bowman mantles and 55 Clementes, 54 aaron, banks etc. all just going crazy in the auctions from memory lane to heritage to ebay.
Be interesting to see where prices are a year from now and whether the market can absorb the large number of cards hitting the big auction houses. The heritage auction and memory lane auctions and pwcc latest should be interesting.
Reminds me of the fast run up in 70s unopened last year.

If PSA 8 prices keep rising like this, it will only be natural for quality PSA 7s and PSA 6s to also get a nice bump in value.
