Hi All,
If anyone had recently broken (or will be breaking in the near future) any of the following boxes, I am interested in the 1 per pack inserts:
1992 Topps --- Match The Stats (white & gray stock)
1991 Topps Woolworths
1991 Topps Toys R Us
1991 Topps Debut '90
1991 Topps --- Instant Win Sweepstakes (264 Different)
1990 Topps Woolworths
1990 Topps Traded
1990 Topps Toys R Us
1990 Topps Stickers/Album
1990 Topps Mini Leaders --- Spring Fever - Win Trip for 4 (No player)
1990 Topps K-Mart
1990 Topps Double Headers --- None
1990 Topps Debut '89
1990 Topps Coins
1990 Topps Big
1990 Topps Ames
1989-90 Topps Senior League
1989 Topps Traded --- Topps Magazine Offer, Mini Canseco Card
1989 Topps Mini Leaders
1989 Topps Big
I am interested in the advertisement, mail-in offer, game type cards that are found in every pack or one per factory set from those years. 1992 had Match The Stats scratch off game, 1991 had a sweepstakes order form, 1988-1990 had various "Company Store" inserts for Topps clothing and merchandise.
Before tossing them, please PM with what you have, bellow is my "needs" list:
1988 Topps Company Store - non blank backed, need all
1988 Topps Glossy All-Star Offer Card - "cards not included" on front
1988 Topps Glossy All-Star Offer Card - any arrow variations
1989 Topps Company Store - vanilla bean (OPC) cardstock, need all except light green card
1989 Topps Company Store - white card stock, need all
1989-90 Topps Magazine Mini Offer Card - need various code versions
1990 Topps Company Store - gray card stock, need all
1991 Topps Sweepstakes Cards - PM for list of numbers
1992 Topps Match The Stats - all dark gray cardboard stock versions
Also interested in anything that I may have missed from this list.
Thanks!

<< <i>Wish I would have known. Me and a buddy ripped a case of 91 Topps a while back and threw those cards away. I have some other stuff to rip soon I will save them for you. >>
Oh wow! I especially need the 1991 Sweepstakes cards. Please getbin touch when you open any more of those years.
Thanks!
<< <i>I ripped some 88 and 89 topps and have some of them. I'll be in touch. >>
Great, please let me know!
<< <i>I remember the 88 inserts with that weird printed-on arrow covering up the mysterious phrase "card not included" next to the Jack Clark card. Are those worth anything? >>
The version without the arrow but the "cards not included" text would be worth quite a bit if a copy exists out there (I've never seen one). I have a version with a transparent arrow that shows the text through it and have only seen a few examples to date. Most other versions do not sell for anything, occasionally a black arrow version may get a buck or two.
<< <i>PM sent >>
PM's responded to. Thanks!
Still looking for 1992 Topps Match The Stats, 1991 Topps 40th Instant Win Sweepstakes, 1990 Topps Company Store, 1989-1990 Topps Magazine Factory Set Inserts, 1988 Topps Company Store Inserts (non blank back, regular versions).
Please message with anything you have available. I'm especially looking for large/bulk lots.
Thanks!
How many are you looking for?

Oh wow, I had dozens of the first ones that said "Card Not Included". I just assumed those were the most plentiful. They're long gone though, so I guess it doesn't matter.

I will take any you have. Right now I am gathering large assortments and then sorting to catalog/organize. PM if you want to get rid of them!

I've actually never seen a copy. I assume if you get a box that has one, the whole box likely does. Let me know if you have any of these 1988-1991 inserts to get rid of.
PM me if interested.
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.

PM sent. Thanks!
ETA: I need the following for 90T if you end up with extras.... NNO (gray): Baby Blue (T-shirt),Blue (Sweatshirt),Green(Sweatshirt),Red(Sheets),Yellow(Hat)
<< <i>I have about 37 spares of the 90T (30 white backs, 7 gray). Still checking for others.

I used to have all three card stock types for 1990 but just discovered that I donated my 800ct box of this stuff last fall. So I am currently buying up what I can, sorting into two sets for 1980-1992 and then once I figure out my extras, I'll let you know what I can help you with.
You wouldn't by chance know what was inserted in 1989 or 1990 Topps Mini Leaders packs, would you?

Probably not, I have a lot of 86/87s I could find quickly, but no 89/90. Guessing the left one is from 87, no idea on the middle one (no dates on back), and 90T regular for size comparison.
If I run across any, I'll let you know.

The middle one is a 1989-1990 Topps Magazine Offer card. I can confirm them being inserted in 1989 Topps Traded. As far as I know, they were inserted in several late 1989 and 1990 small sets such as Traded, Topps Debut, Senior League and possibly the 33 cards sets like Woolworths. There are several different code variations on back. At one point, I purchased a lot of 100 but they were all of the "no code" version.
One of the reasons I am trying to get info on these 1989-1990 oddball sets is to determine which I need to buy. I'd prefer not to spend $5-20 per set for a single ad/offer card so hopefully I can figure this info out before resorting to that.

This one has B89I on the back, so probably a late 89? Since it's a mini and in a pile with my other Mini Leaders, I would guess it's from that issue.

Interesting. That's a new one. So far I know of:
89A
89B
89G
89H
89I
No Code
EDIT: Do you have more than one?

So far it's the only one I've run across, but now you've got me digging through the nearby box full of puzzle pieces/stickers/ad inserts/misc. Here's a back scan of the middle card w/code for reference....

Awesome, thanks! That hopefully saves me $20+ (boxes aren't cheap on ebay), assuming they don't have different print codes on back.
EDIT: List of products/inserts updated on firs post.

No product code on the only copy I've run across so far.
ETA: Scan of the back of the 90T Mini Leaders insert and front of a 90T Coins (Back has a Subscribe to Topps Magazine offer, no code)
Also, not sure if you saw my post on the 90 Bowman Will Clark, found a 4th variation: Link
Also looks like the 86/87 Topps 'Spring Fever Baseball' inserts have two cardstocks as well (white/light gray).
<< <i>Just found another cardstock used for the 89 ad inserts. The middle example is the only copy I have of the 'cream' cardstock. I won't even venture to guess what packaging this one came from.

Yeah, I had a complete set of the 1989 "vanilla bean" stock versions along with the other two types. I currently need all of them except card 'style G.' Since I had previously been buying these in bulk lots and not paying attention to their sources as I ripped boxes, I have no idea which packs they were found in either. I recall the ratio of them being roughly 40% gray, 40% white, 20% vanilla bean in the row of them that I had.
<< <i>I love that there are people out there collecting these items. I remember a post many years ago where someone else was looking to do the same. I would love to read a writeup on these issues, how you got interested in them and which versions are particularly difficult. Are there many other collectors out there? >>
JWG has a nice writeup on the inserts along with the errors/variations for different sets on his site: Link. For me, I view them as part of a master set along with other errors/variations, wrappers, empty box, etc. I don't know of any that are extremely difficult, but since most are thrown away it can be a challenge to track them down whenever you're looking for a specific one. A couple of the 90 Bowman art card variations were probably the most difficult for me to find personally (Gooden $100K missing and Clark broken asterisk) and trying to get all the codes for 91 Topps would be quite an undertaking. I wouldn't guess there are a ton of collectors for this niche, but probably more than you might expect.

What's that you say? There's a Will Clark variation? Can you post a picture? Got an extra you need to send to a good home?

See here for a pic of all 4 variations: 90B Err/Var I think I have spares of 3 of the 4 (not the broken asterisk). I'll PM you a link to one of those available.
