Considering the references to fertility; a leaf that does not wither, a fruitful vine, I would say that these medals from Breslau were marriage medals.
I can't quite get the translation on the obverse; something about true devotion guards the city?

I really like that tree design. Bet it would be phenomenal on a higher grade piece.

The garden/vines design is also quite pleasing.
