Yes, it does look like it could be cleaned.

I'd also be very, very wary about getting its authenticity confirmed. I see no obvious red flags there but this issue is like catnip for counterfeiters.

This is one you're definitely going to want to get slabbed, for authentication purposes.

If real, congratulations. Cleaned or not, that's quite a coin to have.

You are dealing with a Dealer ........so i believe in case of authentisity returns is accepted.
Price looks Deleastic and fair for the condition.
In my orinion , that Gothic Crown sould probably write Surfaces Hairlines .
I would definetely get slabbed it for the authenticity and after crack the slab and keep it raw .........perhaps a toning would make it more desirable . (This is just my opinion , the decision is all yours )

This is not a rare coin and the value is predicated on its popularity with World Collectors. Consider waiting for a better example.

Counterfeits for this issue are very deceptive. The price is WAY too cheap for a genuine coin with light impairments (red flag). I'd get a very iron clad guarantee of authenticity before buying based on those images alone.

How can you have any doubt that coin has been cleaned?

Coins 150+ years old do not look "new".
