CU silver membership , Im confused..help

When I joined CU about a couple of years ago, I had one year submission privlidges. I just looked it up.(Silver) Its says its a lifetime membership. I want to submit a coin for grading .Has my submission privlidges expired?, and do I have to get a (Gold) Membership. What is the best holder to submit my coin in?

You can submit coins with either a silver or gold membership, but the price, time for submittal turn-around, and services offered are different. What are you submitting (this may determine if you should pay for a gold membership)?

Coins should be submitted in 2x2 flips, and you may want to place them in poly bags first (they definately don't want anything with a staple through it).

Actually, they are supposed to be submitted in 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 flips.

  • Basically, there are three levels - silver, gold, and platinum. Silver membership is free for everyone. The gold and platinum levels cost you money to join. Although the membership is free at the silver level, you will not get any free submissions and you will pay a little bit more per coin that you submit. Pay for the gold 1 year membership, you get four free submissions and a lower per coin fee. The platinum membership is a two year gold membership at a reduced rate. For moderns, silver members pay $12 per coin while gold/platinum members pay $10 per coin. Here's a link for membership information

By the way, techinically Wayne's right. PCGS asks for 2.5"x2.5" flips but they will take 2"x2" flips as well.
