is this Robinson rookie worthy of an 8?

Perhaps I have become too critical, but just seems like if I sent this in it would get a 6 or 8 ST

But maybe its a fair grade?

Could be an example of a "no qualifier" grade. Could the card be a 10 without the stain?

No way, for a lot of reasons, but most obvious T/B centering.

Old flip, more lenient back then.

  • I remember this card being discussed on another forum the last time it came up for sale. Many suspected that the stain was soaked out prior to being submitted but reappeared after being slabbed. No way that gets a straight 8 with the stain visible.

That wax stain is from a penny pack. I'm working on my phD in wax stains.
