Basketball cards for sale

Hello,

I am an active member over on the World and Ancient Coins forum. I have two large boxes of basketball cards that appear to be sorted and in new condition. Mind you, I do not collect cards myself. But having dealt with currency and other paper collectibles, I am giving a conservative opinion. Most of the cards are in cardboard card sized row boxes. Some are in store display boxes, loose (foil packs opened) but neat and not damaged. I am assuming that any great rarities were probably picked through a long time ago.

So there are thousands of cards. I was wondering if anyone here could use them. I would like to sell them, but selling them individually is totally out of the question. It would just eat up too much time. I was thinking of $10 per row box, maybe $20 for a shoebox sized box. Or less, but I know absolutely zero about cards.

I thought I would reach out here. If you are interested, have any advice or whatever, feel free to reply here or PM.

Thanks

There appears to be a mix of cards from mostly basketball but also some hockey, baseball and maybe others. I did not dig too deep. But maybe 85-99? I have seen cards with those years for stats, some of the baseball cards are earlier like 86 ish. Mostly they seem to be damage free, maybe a bit sticky from sitting in boxes for 20 years, not like anything spilled on them.

My earlier off of the cuff estimate of 2,000 cards was probably very incorrect. It is 10,000 or more.

Worst case, a craigslist listing should do the trick. I would donate them to a club or something but the people I contacted did not want to go through so many cards. So I figure sell them and reinvest in my hobby and someone gets a good block of cards.
