    Wow! Just insane to see all these 10s!!! Have never sub to PSA, but would like to gain enough knowledge to do so. any advice on how a complete novice should go about this?

    Two ways to go about it

    1) Get a membership where you have 15 free subs and put in your best cards and see how it turns out.

    2) Piggyback in on someone elses special and submit cards what you think will grade high.

    Modern cards generally hit 10's way easier than vintage (obviously). There's a learning curve, one that I'm still working on. I think it's safe to say it takes 2-3 subs to really get the hang of it. Just inspect cards and look for any flaws. Centering, chipping, wrinkles, corners, etc. Start with a big stack of possible subs and whittle em down until your satisfied.

    From my experience if I think a card is a 9, it's almost always an 8. An 8 is a 7, etc. I've gotten better through experience though, and you will too.

    Go for it, it's a fun process even if you don't always get the results you think you'll get.
